Profile
I am a trained garden designer and a
correspondent Member of The Society of Garden Designers
leading to full membership in due course.
I studied at Manchester Art School, the Architectural
Association and more recently at Capel Manor in Enfield,
where I achieved RHS Horticulture level 2 and my diploma
in Garden Design.
I have a contemporary approach to design with an
understanding of the significance of garden history in
design. I have an appreciation of the sensitive link
between buildings and the spaces round them - be they
domestic or commercial, urban or rural. I am aware of
concerns relating to climatic change and how this might
affect new and existing gardens. I think design
continuity is important and I aim to give projects my
personal attention.
I
have recently had a career change from architectural
practice to enable me to concentrate on garden design.
Having been involved in managing an architectural
practice for some time I am experienced in project
management and working with other consultants,
specialists, contractors and sub-contractors on many
design challenges.
